Hope you are feeling ok, despite the trials and tribulations of world events and life. There is so much going on in the world, that it can sometimes feel overwhelming. But with enough determination, we will get through it!
That is why we have music, and art of all kinds. If you know me for a while, you will know that I believe anything can be elevated to an art form. Earlier this week, I concentrated on the art of keeping our sink and counter area clear. I kid you not! It's the little things. Life is a series of moments, and all the moments, all the little things, add up. So, the magic is the maintenance... a couple of situps a day, a vitamin a day, a song a week, etc. "Put it where you want it..."
Speaking of that, I am working my way to Memphis for the IBC. I had planned to go this year, because I have never been, and it's been several years since I have been anywhere beyond the Bay.
So, that is why I entered, for the umpteenth time, the draw for Women In Blues Showcase. I could not believe it when I heard Michele say "Mari Mack & Livin' Like Kings...!" I would love to be able to bring the whole band, but looks as if that is not in the cards right now. However, I am working my way to be able to get myself there! I have signed up for employment agencies, have applied for so many positions for which I am more than qualified and/or willing to learn new skills, but so far, nada.
If I can help you with something, whether it is singing or research, or sewing on a button, making a flyer, providing social media services or baking a cake, please let me know! I'm resourceful and available.
