Saturday. September 13th, San Francisco

Hey Everybody,

First things first:
We have a change in the lineup for this weekend, 4 - 8 Saturday at The Saloon! Sorry about the confusion, but life happens. Herman had a mishap, so is not able to commit to the gig, but says he may stop by and say "hi!"

Instead, we will present another installment of "Guitarmaggedon" as Craig Caffall will be easing back into the scene as he and Dave Powell trade licks and we celebrate life, love and friendship through music!
I imagine Craig and Arne will exchange heart stories.
Myself on vocals and Martin on drums.

Life is so precious. May you be grateful for all your pleasant experiences, and grateful that you survived the "not so great" stuff.
We sure are.
Speaking of great stuff:
I stopped by the Sweetwater blues jam and then we spent some time with the grandkids, which was delightful and exhausting at the same time.

I remain committed to doing what I can to make sure they inherit a more organic and peaceful world.

We have lots of work to do in that regard.

Remember this: create joy whenever possible.

Ox,
Mari

Monday, July 21st, 2025 | Seeking Songs for the New Album, Happenings Tonight!

Hey Everybody!

I'm seeking songs for the next album, so please send some my way, if you have a song you would like to hear me sing, or if you think I can do it some justice. You know how to find me.

I first asked this question in my Bandcamp Community, so if you are one of those folks who wants the "inside scoop" - you might want to follow me over there.

Speaking of albums, Arne appears to be almost finished with final mixes for The Blues Project album. not sure what they will be calling it, so stay tuned for that one. It was recorded live at Yoshi's and the Rancho Nicasio, and the tracks sound great! The art of recording live. if you know anyone who wants to apprentice, and learn from a master of this specialized craft, let me know.

For my friends in the San Francisco Bay Area, here are a couple of things happening
Monday, July 21st:

Music:
San Francisco: The Saloon - Peter Lindman 4 - 8 and Jinx Jones at 9:30 pm

Thank You! Save the dates for August...

Thanks to everyone who joined us at The Saloon on July 12th! It was quite the vibe. Wish we had recorded that one. Guess you had to be there.

Please save the date for our next Second Saturday at The Saloon: 8.9.25 4 - 8 pm, and we'll see you then!

Also, in August, on the 17th, we have a  "Blues Brunch" show at The Sweetwater in Mill Valley. All ages, doors open at noon. Downbeat is at 1 pm, and we will be finished by 2:30 pm  There is no cover, so please come early and order brunch to support this community venue. Hard to believe that it's been over a year since we played a show in Mill Valley!

In the meantime, if you are on Bandcamp, please join my community over there. It's always the first place we upload new tunes.

That's all for now. Sending love.

Ox.

Thank You for Music, Mother's Day

Thanks to everyone who joined us yesterday for.our regular 2nd Saturday in the afternoon at The Saloon!

It was an adventure! Richard was away on family business. and since Pat was in town, he and Dave had a little too much fun playing off each other. Here's a very short clip, taken towards the end of the third set, by Markelle, who was tending bar last night. I promise more video in the future.

We had a great time. The crowd ebbed and flowed, as is the usual when there is a big game. It was great to see old friends and meet a few new friends. If you missed it, hope you can make it next month!

Wishing everyone the best this Mother's Day. May the light of your joyful memories outshine any shadow of sadness.

Be kind. It feels better.
