In case you couldn't tell, I've had a complicated relationship with music, as a few things happened during my early formative years that made me think that I was not worthy of music, or love. 
As for everything else that is going on in the world -- If you have been paying attention, things are weird, scary and absurd right now, and I'm not sure if that's due to things being worse or because it's all out in the open because of the internet. It seems to be a combination of the two. I can't help hoping that it will open our collective eye to what is really important in the world. It seems we have to go through certain cycles every now and again, because we tend to forget. I shared some info about that a while back, too. Maybe I'm too optimistic, but I'd rather be hopeful than depressed and cynical. I've been there and it just doesn't work for me. What works for me is to keep working at getting better and not giving up.
We'll be back at The Saloon on the 2nd Saturday afternoon, in September, which is the 13th, from 4 - 8 pm. Kings' lineup to be announced.
