An amazing Monday to you all! We are celebrating our wedding anniversary today, a memory I will cherish for as long as my brain can contain memories.
This week, we have two music gigs, one on Wednesday at the Empress' Marquee Lounge in Vallejo, which is doubling as a birthday party for Arne. Downbeat is 6:30 pm and we go until 8:30.
Saturday, we will be bring our brand of blues to Town Hall in San Anselmo for Live on the Avenue. Downbeat is 5:30.
This past weekend, we gathered with family and the next generation, and I accepted the honor of baking Avalon's first birthday cake. My intention was to make a lion, but, thanks to a pastry bag malfunction, it ended up looking more like a sun/cat. However, it tasted really yummy, because it was a scratch cake and I used high quality vanilla.
You have to take the wins in life! Speaking of wins, we advocated for the arts funding and won!
Seems as if the arts gather bipartisan support in Congress. There is something most of us can agree upon.
